The Practical Guide provides the EU/EEA maritime surveillance authorities interested in joining the network with the introduction to CISE, including its background and key features, as well as to organisational, financial, technical and operational aspects to be considered when planning the connection to CISE. In addition to that, it serves as an update on the developments of CISE to those already actively involved in the network. The content of this guide will be therefore further updated during the Operational Phase to reflect the progress made in CISE.
