2024: Digitalisation and simplification
During 2024, we added more users and organisations to our integrated maritime services and launched new versions of the enhanced maritime picture interfaces, with new functionalities and data, as well as improved performance.
We also improved our Automated Behaviour Monitoring service with new algorithms and global “always on” ABMs.
In 2024, we continued to work on the European Maritime Single Window environment, delivering the common specifications and database services
We delivered maritime services to Frontex and EFCA through service level agreements and continued to support EUNAVFOR ATLALANTA in the Gulf of Aden and the Mediterranean, as well as the Maritime Analysis and Operations centre – narcotics.
The work of our Maritime Support Services (MSS) centre intensified in 2024, with our reporting and analysis supporting Member States and the European Commission.
The MSS also acted as the European Coordination Centre for the EMSA-led Multipurpose Maritime Operation in La Manche and the Southern North Sea.
And 2024 was the year in which the Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE) moved out of the transitional phase and into operational mode.
