The training session took place in Lisbon from 21 to 22 March 2018 and was addressed to maritime administrations’ officials and maritime education and training (MET) institution’s staff, with existing experience on implementing the STCW Convention and Code. The goal was to enhance their expertise on STCW related matters and exchange experience with representatives of other Member States. The training session provided an opportunity to further investigate those provisions of the STCW Convention and Code, and the related EU Directive, which may create difficulties to administrations and MET institutions when implementing them.
