In the framework of the EU funded project SAFEMED IV an online training session on main principles of Oil Spill Contingency Plan was organised for the Jordanian Maritime Administration and held on 15-17 June 2021.  Main aspects of the relevant international legislation were covered and practical exercises carried out. EMSA staff provided a thorough overview of the various options for the response to chemical and oil spills. Seventeen participants from the Jordanian entities involved in drafting and implementing the Contingency Plan attended. The event was complemented with a dedicated session supporting the review of the Jordan National Spill Contingency Plan.
