EU Member States, EFTA Countries Norway and Iceland and Candidate Countries (considered as participating States) can all take part in the programme.
National experts/professionals that wish to apply for an exchange must:
- have expertise in the field of marine pollution preparedness & response (accidental or deliberate marine pollution)
- be working in this field
- have as a main objective to learn more about marine pollution preparedness & response
- have a working knowledge of English and/or the language of the Host Centre of Expertise.
The multiplying effect at a national level of the experience & lessons learnt from an exchange is an important added value. Therefore candidates should preferably have some expertise in the field of marine pollution preparedness & response and be able to instruct and spread the information and experience gained from an exchange to their colleagues.
