As part of the Common Core Curriculum for Flag State Inspectors, intermediate level (2024 edition) an in-person session took place for participants from the SAFEMED and BCSEA projects between 5 and 7 November 2024 at the premises of European Maritime Safety Agency.

The session aimed to cover the Learning Outcomes linked to the Unit related to ship inspection of the curriculum. It focused on practical scenarios providing the participants with a methodology to inspect the different ship’s areas by using the EMSA’s tool RuleCheck to identify the applicable regulations. The in-person session was opened to participants that successfully completed the required assignments.

15 participants from the Maritime Administrations of Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Moldova, Morocco and Türkiye attended the in-person session, and obtained the Certificate of Completion.
