Training on ISM Code auditing provided for the SAFEMED V Project’s beneficiaries
From 16 to 25 May, an online training for maritime auditors working with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code was held for the SAFEMED V Project’s beneficiaries in a live broadcasting mode.
The objectives of the ISM Code are to ensure safety at sea and prevent any harm to the marine environment, as well as to support and encourage the development of a safety culture in the maritime industry. This makes it one of the key auditing standards for flag State surveyors.
This comprehensive course aimed to familiarise the participants with the ISM Code, to demonstrate different types of audits for the Administration’s internal and flag State purposes and to introduce them to practical auditing techniques.
