From 11 to 13 June 2019, SAFEMED IV participated to the UfM Regional Platform on Transport Connectivity and Working Groups on Maritime Transport in Barcelona, Spain. EMSA presented the achievements of the SAFEMED IV projects in the past months and was positively received by the entire UfM Community present at the meeting.

9 experts from Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine and Tunisia participated at the Working Group on Maritime Transport, the Plenary Meeting and the visit to the port of Barcelona.

The meeting was extremely positive as to exchange views not only on the Maritime sector, but also on the entire transport and logistic domain. All UfM member states actively participated to the discussion and contributed to the review of the progresses of the Regional Transport Action Plan 2014-2020.

A new meeting is scheduled to take place in November 2019.
