Workshop on Alternative Fuels (biofuels and ammonia) and Power Solutions for Shipping and Ports

From 18-20 October, EMSA is holding a workshop on alternative fuels, specifically biofuels and ammonia, and power solutions for shipping and ports. The workshop will analyse and review two new studies published by EMSA, on biofuels and ammonia, and will also discuss guidance published by EMSA on the carriage of alternatively fuelled vehicles and on shore side electricity.

The workshop is composed of three distinct modules:

Module 1: Alternative Fuels (18 October; 09:45 – 16:30 Lisbon time, continued on 19 October from 08:55 – 13:15 Lisbon time)

Module 2: Energy storage systems on board ships (19 October 14:15 – 17:00 Lisbon time)

Module 3: Shore-side electricity (20 October 09:30 – 13:00 Lisbon time)
