Equipment upgrade to bring enhanced oil spill reponse to the Black Sea
The capacity of EMSA's contracted vessel in Varna, Bulgaria, is now better equipped to handle potential oil spills. In February the Enterprise has been fitted with a new Weir Boom 180 system, bringing significant advantages through its combined containment and recovery system.
The system is designed for response operations after large oil spills and well 'blow-outs'. It is equipped with a fully autonomous source of hydraulic power and packed for quick mobilization and easy deployment.
