I am a student working on a research project. Is it possible to interview one of EMSA's experts, or to send a list of questions by email?
While EMSA endeavours to provide information to all relevant stakeholders, the Agency receives many requests from students working on maritime issues and European affairs. It thus needs to determine whether its experts' time is well spent on answering all enquiries from students. While enquiries are dealt with on a case-by-case basis, as a general guideline any questions from students are more likely to be met with success if:
- they are sent by those working at postgraduate or doctorate level, not undergraduate level;
- they are linked to an EU-funded project for research that has direct relevance to EMSA's activities (such as the SafeMed II project);
- they are working on an official project/study with support from, of under the auspices of, another EU institution or relevant Member State maritime authority.
Students are, of course, invited to browse the wealth of information available on the EMSA website. We especially advise you to look at our Work Programmes and Annual Reports for detailed information about the Agency's activities, budget, organisation and governance.
