The CleanSeaNet service uses a variety of different satellites, and the alert areas set up by users also vary in terms of size and shape. The most common images acquired by the CleanSeaNet service are Sentinel-1 Interferometric Wide Swath (width of 250km) and Extra Wide Swath (width of 410 km). The length of the image is limited by the time it takes for the satellite to acquire the image and then for the image to be processed (and then made available to the user within 20 minutes of satellite acquisition). In CleanSeaNet, images up to 1,500 km in length can be requested.
