Sharing of T-AIS information
Georgia, Turkiye and Ukraine are the three BCSEA II Project beneficiaries which have adhered to the Pilot project on AIS sharing and have accepted to share maritime traffic information got through the established AIS national network.
Phase 1 of the Pilot project implies sharing the information between projects’ beneficiaries; Turkiye that has recently joined the pilot project is participating in Phase 1 with 12 users. The Phase 2 expands the sharing on reciprocal basis to all EU and non-EU countries participating to the regional SafeSeaNet server for the Mediterranean (MARE∑). Georgia and Ukraine are participating to Phase 2 with 36 users altogether with access to the relevant maritime traffic information.
