As part of the visibility component of the BCSEA Project, EMSA participated in the 15th Black Sea Search and Rescue Conference held in Batumi on 11 – 12 September 2019. More than 40 delegates participated to the event organized by the Georgian Maritime Transport Agency. Participants showed a particular interest in the services offered by EMSA to the BCSEA Project beneficiary countries with reference to the EMSA’s tools which provide a full maritime picture to improve the effectiveness of the SAR activities. In the final report of the Conference, delegates from the National Authorities of the Black Sea carrying out SAR activities agreed on the need to request EMSA additional training activities in the field of SAR.
